Hole in the World

I wasn’t planning on posting a Tinselfly update today, but I thought this was too nifty not to share.

There’s a bug right now where one—just one—face of my 20-sided world is displaying incorrectly. I thought this looked kinda eerie and beautiful.

I may have to make a level in my story mode of the game that looks like this. 🙂

Anyway, I also added a randomly generated starfield, moonlight, and blue sky when you’re on the day side of the planet.

    1. Yeah, I was imagining something along those lines. Or… hope I can describe this right… imagine a hollow sphere with a hole cut in in like the picture above, and bisecting the hole is a ribbon that twists 180 degrees from end to end, so if you start on the outside of the sphere and walk across the ribbon, you’re now on the inside. (With the generalized movement system I’ve got now, I could actually do this without too much trouble.)
